Loss

They say that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all

But why does the loss feel like death?

Why is the loss so tragic?

Can human beings live with this kind of tragedy?

Navigating the world without someone they deeply love as if they didn’t love them before.

How exactly do you walk out of the door and NOT break down when you remember that the one you loved the most is no longer in your life?

What do you do with that?

The time, the traditions, the love?

How are you expected to love again knowing damn well that loss can be so far out of your control and that one day there will no longer be evidence that you loved this person?

I know there is beauty in falling in love again but why must we lose it in the first place? It hurst so damn much.
